The Iowa Review awards several prizes per year:
- The Iowa Review Awards in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry (submissions accepted January 1–31)
- The Jeff Sharlet Memorial Award for Veterans (submissions accepted May 1–June 1)
- The Tim McGinnis Prize (annual internal prize)
- The David Hamilton Prize (May 1-June 1)
We occasionally offer an Iowa Review Award in Photography.
